  • Wood-steel sheet connections

    Wood-to-steel joints in combination with screws are used in construction to create a stable and durable connection between wood and steel. Here, a sheet steel is connected to wooden components, often as a connecting element such as a panel or an angle. The connection is usually made with screws, which are screwed into the wood through the mostly pre-drilled steel sheet.

    Advantages include:

    • Highly stable
    • Easy to use interface
    • Low material load
    This technique is often used for contributing structures or for joining steel and wood.

  • Wood-to-wood connections

    Wood-to-wood joints secured with wood construction screws are a common method in wood construction to join two or more wooden parts together. Wood construction screws are specially developed screws that are suitable for the permanent and stable connection of wood materials. They have a special thread geometry that enables good adhesion in wood and makes the screws particularly durable and easy to work with.

  • Rooftop insulation

    Rooftop insulation is an insulation measure carried out on a roof to minimise heat loss and increase the energy efficiency of the building. In contrast to intermediate rafter insulation, this insulation is applied directly to the roof structure, i.e. to the roof covering or rafter construction.

    It ensures that the building stays warmer in winter and cooler in summer, as heat transfer through the roof is reduced. Wooden construction screws are usually used to securely fasten the insulation boards to a roof. These ensure a stable and permanent connection between the insulation and the roof structure.

  • Chemical Solution

Whether wood-wood, wood-concrete or wood-steel: With the injection adhesive, connections are not only strong, but also architecturally appealing - regulated and approved according to European Technical Assessment (ETA) and national type approval.

    Thanks to the DD-E and DD-S centering clips, the anchor rods are easily centred in the drill hole. The variety of anchor rods in different corrosion class allows the system to be used for all corrosion requirements. In combination with the FIS IG internal thread anchor, flush-mounted removable fasteners can also be utilised.

  • Drills and bits

  • Installation systems

    fischer installation systems can be used for a wide range of applications in building technology, not only in solid construction, but also in wood construction. The safe and economical fastening solutions are made of hot-dip galvanised and stainless steel and are suitable for light, medium and heavy pipe systems.

    With 90 joules of setting energy, the FGW 90F gas-powered setting tool offers fast and safe fastening of nails in wooden substrates - with up to three fastenings per second. The wide range of nails with corrosion resistance according to the Eurocode 5 standard offers the optimal solution for all applications in wood construction with usage classes 1, 2 and 3.
    It enables fast and reliable fastening, ideal for roof constructions, wall cladding, wooden beams and substructures - both indoors and outdoors. For visible wood surfaces, such as facade cladding, the supplied protective cap protects against damage. The FGW 90F also offers perfect support for fixing floor boards or packing sea pallets.   • Solar energy systems

    Based on fischer’s know-how in the field of fastening technology, a special range of fastening systems for photovoltaic modules has been created. For the attachment of solar modules, fischer offers systems that can be mounted directly on the roof structure, suitable for various roofing materials such as bricks, fibre cement or corrugated sheets as well as trapezoidal or standing seam sheets.

    • Efficient for project success

      New building in Eisenbach Oberbränd

      To expand its production, logistics and administrative areas, August Weckermann decided to build a new building in Eisenbach Oberbränd. The fischer FMS and FUS rail systems with pipe clamps and assembly accessories were used in large numbers to install supply lines in the new assembly hall. Pre-assembly and other comprehensive fischer services simplified and speeded up execution.

    • Architecture in dialogue with nature

      Black Forest Visitor/ Information Centre.

      The wooden building spans over 3,000 square metres and offers leisure activities as well as environmental education with reference to national parks. These include exhibitions, a cinema, catering, event rooms and the “Skywalk” - a treetop walkway leading to a view tower. Both offer a wide view of nature. The ensemble is complemented by an administration building measuring 700 square metres.

    • Lighthouse project for sustainable building

      Renovation of a residential building in Amstetten

      A special pilot project was implemented in Amstetten, Austria. Innovative industrially prefabricated and glued wood-concrete composite ceilings (HBV ceilings) were used in the renovation of a residential building in Villenstraße. The fischer group of companies and the University of Soil Culture in Vienna (BOKU) have been testing their new system developed in a joint research project on the property for years. This system uses an innovative adhesive bonding process.
