August Weckermann decided to build a new building in Eisenbach Oberbränd to expand its production, logistics and administrative areas. To install supply lines in the new assembly hall, the FIS and FUS rail systems with pipe clamps and mounting accessories were used in large quantities. Pre-assembly and other comprehensive fisher services simplified and accelerated execution.

In its almost 140-year history, August Weckermann KG has established itself as a manufacturer of precision turned parts of all kinds, system solutions and special parts with diamond gloss surfaces. Products for the fittings industry as well as the optics and jewellery sectors are among the core competencies. Due to the economic success, the management of the family-run company decided to build a new building, like its headquarters in the municipality of Eisenbach in the High Black Forest. It was not possible to expand the production and logistics capacities last expanded in 2006-2009.

The new building has been under construction since the beginning of 2022 in the Oberbränd district in the Rütte II industrial area. The new production area covers a total of 3,500 square metres. There is also a logistics area and a building area for social rooms and administration. The move of employees is planned for summer 2024.

 

Thanks to the pre-assembly service, we were able to save a lot of time during the technical implementation and reduce the workload considerably. In cooperation with other manufacturers, we have not yet experienced the scope of pre-assembled rail system components in a project

In particular, the assembly planning and the FUS installation systems for the pipes and lines, which were completely pre-assembled at the factory by Fischer, made assembly considerably faster and easier. Due to the high load effects and the large required span of the rail due to the ventilation, the fisher solid rail system FMS was used. The FMS was used in combination with numerous components from the fischer universal rail system FUS for medium-duty pipes and ventilation ducts in this project. This provided the ideal solution for the project in order to meet high requirements efficiently. The supporting structure was fastened to a wooden substructure of the steel structure by the fitters using Fischer PowerFast wood construction screws.
