Record height in Rzeszów

fischer secures Poland's tallest residential building Olszynki Park

Moderne Architektur des Olszynki Park im Stadtbild von Rzeszów

With an architectural height of 220.67 meters, Olszynki Park sets new standards in Polish high-rise construction. The project replaces the previous record holder, the Wrocław Sky Tower (212 meters), at the top. The exposed building height, construction volume, and sophisticated architecture required anchoring solutions with maximum load capacity. Mechanical and chemical fastening systems from fischer ensure permanent load transfer in various substrates and reliably protect the building fabric against dynamic forces.

Precision without compromise at extreme building heights

The construction of a high-rise building of this scale demands absolute dimensional accuracy from all planners and executors. Safety-relevant components must function flawlessly under real construction site conditions.

“The choice of fastening technology is far more than an execution detail – it is a crucial safety factor for the entire structure. That is why the responsible companies chose our proven systems, which are used wherever reliability and the consistent implementation of planning are top priorities,” says Artur Hoffman, Country Manager of fischer Poland.

Collaborative Partnership as a Success Factor

Large-scale projects only succeed through reliable interfaces between manufacturers and installation companies. The executing company Reconal has been working closely with fischer for over a decade. Roman Kotuła, Project Manager at Reconal, reveals: “Two factors are decisive for us when choosing fischer: the high quality of the products and the comprehensive technical support – from installation optimization to the assistance of fischer engineers with complex technical calculations.” The close integration of both partners significantly contributed to accelerating work processes and implementing the required quality standards on schedule.

Mastering Extreme Wind and Suction Loads

Enormous wind forces act on the facade at great heights. The direction and intensity of the loads vary constantly. Pressure and suction forces particularly stress the facade elements and the intermediate areas of the floors. Each anchorage must reliably transfer these changing horizontal loads into the supporting structure. Faulty fastenings pose significant risks to the building fabric as well as the surrounding urban area. fischer systems provide the necessary structural safety throughout the entire service life.

Coordinated system solutions for reinforced concrete and aerated concrete

Due to the different building materials in the structure, two specialized fischer fastening solutions were used.

Secure heavy-duty anchoring in reinforced concrete: For load-bearing connections in concrete, the responsible parties chose the FAZ II Plus bolt anchor. The proven expansion anchor takes the full load immediately after installation. Its European Technical Assessments (ETAs) guarantee maximum installation safety. Thanks to numerous diameter variants and anchoring depths, the system adapted flexibly to the static requirements.

Expansion-free load transfer in aerated concrete: Due to the porous structure, a chemical system was suitable for aerated concrete. The FIS V Plus universal injection mortar fills the drill hole without cavities. After curing, the mortar forms a high-strength bond with the building material. This prevents expansion pressures in the porous base material, protects against edge breakouts, and offers high resistance to dynamic loads and vibrations.

Cost-effectiveness through efficient assembly

Standardized fastening solutions significantly simplify everyday work on construction sites. Structured technical documentation, clearly understandable assembly instructions, and coordinated tools reduced the assembly effort at Olszynki Park. The assembly teams were able to install anchors quickly, accurately, and in a verifiable manner. This reduced installation times and ensured the timely progress of the large-scale project.
