Installation grid

Flexible and adaptable support structures for the factory of the future.

Installation grid

Maximum flexibility anytime, anywhere!

Conversion of the media supply - effectively and economically possible with the fischer installation grid.

When planning factories, production facilities or similar buildings, their life cycle is already taken into consideration in the planning process. In industrial manufacturing, the trend is towards ever shorter production cycles.

Flexible and adaptable installations are therefore a necessity in the factory of the future. In general, the adaptability of a modular factory through optimal interaction between operating processes and factory equipment is the success factor. Investments in new buildings are made in particular when the life expectancy is correspondingly high and the building meets the requirements of the expected life cycles.

The fischer installation grid enables the workstations to be easily converted for media supply, as the level of equipment supply moves closer to the manufacturing level. This also supports concepts such as Plug & Produce, synergistic factory planning and operational factory planning. Due to its adaptability and architecture orientation, the installation grid is an effective and flexible solution.

Reduces conversion process costs

The need for conversion over the life cycle is an indicator of the cost-effectiveness of the installation grid (see diagram below). The installation grid already shows its systematic superiority with fewer than two position changes (change) of the connected machines/workstations. This means that, despite the higher property costs for the fischer installation grid, the conversion process costs are significantly reduced and thus also the total costs over the life cycle.

Other advantages of the installation grid are

  • Energy efficiency through shorter paths and hydraulic optimization with ring supplies for all media through proximity to the workstation.
  • High flexibility and adaptability in the use of space at the manufacturing level for workstations and machine locations.
  • Shortest planning and conversion time thanks to standardised arrangement of installations.
  • Reduced conversion costs due to minimised installation and assembly effort.
  • Visually appealing design thanks to individual arrangement and clarity of the installed media and other installations.
  • Clear time and cost calculation also for retrofitting the installation grid thanks to modular design.

Typical process flow for installing an installation grid

An installation grid is provided for all areas that are equipped with machines and workstations in the production area and various media such as water, compressed air, power supply, extraction systems, etc. is required. In addition, the lighting for the production level can also be implemented on the installation grid.

Construction-site-Eberhardt-Standard-960

Determination of the loads to be lifted and identification of the mounting surface.

e.g. pipes, air ducts, cable trays, etc. with dimensions and weights, devices, lamps, etc. with weights and design for attachment including the resulting additional loads.
As well as the determination of the fastening substrate, e.g. cracked/uncracked concrete, masonry, aerated concrete, etc.

Selection and, if necessary, calculation of the installation grid design

Based on the determined area loads and point loads and taking into account the dead weight of the installation grid, the appropriate catch dimension is determined.

Compilation & installation of the required materials for the fastening solution

Installation of the required fastening means based on the loads to be supported and the existing fastening substrate (e.g. plastic anchors, steel anchors or chemical fastening solutions).
With the help of the FVS 3 and FVS 4 connecting saddles as crossing and fastening points, the required FUS mounting rails are suspended to form a grid at the level of the joint distribution. Suspension is carried out by means of threaded rods, taking into account the connection to the substrate.

The fischer FHD hollow drill bit
This gives us 55% time savings in our drilling operations

Advantages:

Subsidy by BG Bau up to 50% of the acquisition costs, max. €200
Health-friendly work due to immediate extraction of drill dust
55% time saving compared to traditional hole positioning
The fischer impact anchor EA II
The anchor offers flush installation and therefore requires little space between the grid and the hall ceiling

Advantages:

The embossed edge prevents the armature sleeve from slipping deeper and ensures problem-free impact assembly.
The black fixing point prevents the anchor from falling out of the hole during overhead installation.
The metric internal thread allows the use of commercially available screws or threaded rods for ideal adaptation to the application.
The VDS and fire-tested anchor (R120) also offers maximum safety for your application.
The fischer carrier clamp TKL
The girder clamp is the optimal fixing solution to steel structures without welding or drilling

Advantages:

The TKL with through-hole allows for subsequent height adjustment at any time.
The hollow ground of the fastening screw effectively prevents slipping off the steel beam.
The design of the TKL with fastening screw allows it to be attached to the steel girder without welding or drilling.
The fischer FVS II connecting saddle
Allows easy and time-saving creation of an installation grid.

Advantages:

The design of the connection saddle allows easy and time-saving creation of an installation grid.
The transverse rail’s upwardly open mounting in the connecting saddle allows installation by a fitter.
FVS 3 II and FVS 4 II can be used to create stable traverses.
