Accessibility with a system
Jenaer bus stops with ramps from Fisco GmbH
Jena is recording and forecasting a steadily increasing number of passengers in local public transport. In order to make public transport use even more attractive and efficient in the future, the city ordered the so-called light rail in 2021, which will be used throughout the rail network from the beginning of 2023. In the vehicles manufactured by Stadler (Valencia), great importance was placed on space in the interior and multifunctional areas for a wide range of user groups, such as families with prams, wheelchair users and senior citizens with walking aids.
200 kilometres of rail network, 68 new underground stations and four additional metro lines - “Le Grand Paris Express” is one of the largest infrastructure projects currently being implemented in Europe. By 2030, the large-scale expansion of the public transport network around the French capital is to be completed and thus raise the development opportunities of the metropolitan region to a new level. Numerous construction companies have been working on this since 2016.
Secure escape routes thanks to strong bolt anchors
fischer heavy-duty fastenings for railway tunnels in Mexico
The first high-speed railway line is being built in Mexico. During tunnel work, steel anchors from the Fischer Group are used to secure escape routes for future passengers.
To reduce traffic congestion in Mexico City and shift traffic from road to rail, the “Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT)” (Governmental Political Secretariat for Communication and Transport in Mexico) has been building the new route since 2014.
China is the country of the “fast track” over the long haul. Through the ever-expanding high-speed rail network, the country wants to connect major cities, increase transport capacity and strengthen the internal economy by integrating neglected regions. However, with all the “faster” and “more”, safety should not be forgotten.
Europe’s largest infrastructure project to date is in full swing. The Brenner Base Tunnel - the world’s longest underground rail link - has been built since 2007. Completion is planned for 2027. As part of the new railway line from Munich to Verona, goods and passengers will be transported faster through the tunnel. Fischer heavy-duty anchors are used to securely fasten permanent and temporary attachments.
China has been investing heavily in the expansion of its infrastructure for many years. This also includes the expansion of the rail network for local transport. Only recently, the National Commission for Development and Reform approved a comprehensive programme for the further expansion of several metro and metro lines in large cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen and Ningbo.
