The project is part of a larger energy-efficient building initiative called “CappottoMio”, led by energy expert Plenitude (Milan), whose partners include Harley & Dikkinson Consulting (Milan) for financial management, CNA Palermo – branch of the Italian Confederation of the Crafts and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Rome) - for administrative management and the Consortium C.A.E.C. - Consorzio Artigiano Edile Costruttori (Sicily) - for implementation. The company carrying out the construction work was Opera S. r. l. (Sicily), owned by Lorenzo Glorioso.
The engineering team at fischer Italia provided expert advice during the design phase and adapted the solution to the project-specific requirements. The project also required on-site pull-out tests on perforated bricks under the supervision of fishermen’s experts as well as technical support during installation. Until the successful completion of the project, the fishermen’s experts supported their clients.
