Modern appearance with clever facade technology

Fischer undercut and heavy-duty anchors secure building envelope on new building of Delta Holding, Belgrade

Modern appearance with clever facade technology
Delta Holding is one of the most significant economic drivers in Serbia and one of the largest investors in the region. The holding company provides a variety of services, such as in the agricultural sector, real estate and wholesale. The new headquarters now creates room for further growth. This includes a new office building built from 2019 to 2021 July. Fibre cement panels on its curtained back-ventilated facade (VHF) ensure a modern and representative appearance. The builder was Delta House from Belgrade. The responsible planning and engineering office was Centroprojekt d.o.o from Belgrade. In addition, the construction companies Energoprojekt Visokogradnja a.d. from Belgrade and Dma Koping d.o.o. from Belgrade were commissioned.

Fischer undercut anchors enable the secure anchoring of the facade panels, which are concealed to the outside. This ensures a harmonious view of the building. At the same time, the undercut anchors enable easy and quick installation. The FZP II T PA version was used. This Fischer cyclone panel anchor is especially suitable for concealed fastening of thin fibre cement facade panels and is therefore ideal for use in Belgrade. The fischer FZP II was installed in the versions FZP II 11 x 5 M6/T/11 PA and FZP II 11 x 5 M6/T/13 PA.
"Rivets and screws appear visibly when fastening fibre cement panels to the facade. The situation is different when using our cyclone plate anchor FZP II T PA. Here, the fastening points on the facade view side are concealed," says Alen Ilic, Technical Consultant at the Austrian subsidiary of the fischer group of companies. "This is made possible by the positive-locking and completely expansion-pressure-free fastening in the tapered undercut borehole. Thanks to its short geometry and other technical refinements, the FZP II T PA can be used in thin plates from 8 mm thickness."
During the construction of the new office building at Delta Holding’s headquarters, the anchor with 5 mm binding depth was used in approx. 8 mm SwissPearl fibre cement panels. By placing the anchors on the back of the panel using the undercut technique, the position in the facade panel can be selected statically optimally. This prevents bending of the fibre cement plates. The positive-locking and expansion-pressure-free anchoring together with the statically optimal anchor fastening ensures high holding forces and enables the use of large plate formats. FZPB 11T CNC-DIA undercut drills from the complete FISCHER VHF fastening system were used for drilling work with CNC drilling systems. These guarantee optimum cutting performance thanks to polycrystalline diamonds, are part of the FZP II undercut anchor approval and are suitable for drilling in panel materials (HPL, fibre cement, etc.) using the dry drilling process.
We also convinced our clients because we are already firmly established as experts in the field of complete systems for VHF. We also benefited from the recommendation by SwissPearl and from the good contact with planners and the construction company.

In order to safely transfer the loads of the facade substructure into the concrete supporting structure, the FBN II 12/10 stainless steel bolt anchor from Fischer was also used. The heavy-duty anchor enables fasteners to be installed particularly economically. Its long thread and two anchoring depths also enable flexible use.

Alen Ilic says: "We also convinced our clients because we are already firmly established as experts in the field of complete systems for VHF. We also benefited from the recommendation by SwissPearl and from the good contact with planners and the construction company." In addition to the suitable product solutions, the fastening specialist also supports its clients with comprehensive services. Alen Ilic summarises: “We successfully supported our customers through various construction phases, from planning and consulting to on-site support, through to successful installation and project completion.”
