“Own skills were involved in the implementation,” says Albrecht Pfeiffer, Managing Director of A. Pfeiffer Zimmerei GmbH and Zimmermeister. "My wife and co-owner, as well as freelance architect Kerstin Geiger-Pfeiffer, created the design. Our employees produced the wooden frame wall elements in their own production facilities. They then erected the wooden structure, consisting of the prefabricated wooden frame and solid wood elements, on site." In addition to load-bearing exterior and interior walls, the supporting structure consists of wood-concrete hybrid ceilings on the upper floors above the ground floor. Fischer screws connect the load-bearing laminated timber ceilings with concrete. The stairwell and basement are made of reinforced concrete. At the top is a laminated timber ceiling with sloping ceiling insulation, bitumen sealing, gravel pavement and a photovoltaic system.
