SolarMetal P AL is an aluminium rail for PV panels mounting systems on trapezoidal metal sheets, suitable for portrait oriented modules. It is quick to install, thanks to the ALG rivets, and easy to use: the PV modules can be easily installed with clamps. Easy cross joints can be realized through the top groove of the rail using the FNC AL hammer head nut, the MW bracket and the SKS M 8 hexagonal head screw.

Properties

Aluminium alloy AW 6060 T6 in accordance with EN 755-2:2013.
Please note: any oxidation stains are considered characteristic of aluminium. This in no way impairs the functionality of the product and is not covered by the warranty.

Functionality

Choose between long and short rails depending on the installation layout and taking into account thermal expansion.
Determine the centre distance of the fastenings according to the trapezoidal metal sheet geometry, snow and wind loads (use SOLARPANEL-FiX software to design the system).
Stick a layer of CG INT butyl adhesive tape (minimun lenght 80 mm) on the trapezoidal metal sheet rib before applying and fixing the rail.
Position the rail on the trapezoidal metal sheet.
If fixing with ALG rivets, drill the rail and the sheet together with a 5.5mm diameter drill bit.
For fixing with EPDM self-drilling Solar screw, pre-drill the rail, then place it on the sheet and screw the self-drilling screw through the pre-drilled hole.
Seal the rivets or screws with fischer SB - Bitumen Sealant.
