Hex-head bolt with integrated preload measurement and monitoring.
The SensorBolt enables accurate and reliable monitoring of the current condition of bolted connections through direct force measurement. The sensor is designed so that the mechanical properties of the bolt are exactly the same as those of unmodified bolts. This means that SensorBolts can also be used in steel construction in accordance with EN 1090 without compromise. Together with the SensorNode, the measured force values can be transmitted over longer distances to create a true remote monitoring system. Alternatively, SensorBolts can also be read directly, e.g. with a smartphone, via NFC for quick and easy status assessment. The passive, fully encapsulated electronics of the SensorBolt make it extremely robust and durable, perfect for use even under demanding conditions.
