Double-threaded screw for fastening photovoltaic systems on roofs with a steel load-bearing structure covered by corrugated panels, faux panels or tiles
STSI double-threaded screw
STSI is the double-threaded screw in A2 stainless steel for fastening subframes for photovoltaic systems on corrugated panel or faux-barrel tile roofs with wooden load-bearing structure. Also suitable for installation on concrete with chemical injection mortar or in brick and cement structure with chemical injection mortar and FIS HK injection anchor sleeve or FIS HN injection anchor sleeves with net.Incorporated EPDM gasket for sealing against rain infiltration. Pre-drilling required.
The STSI double-threaded screw is supplied pre-assembled with EPDM gasket, tightening nut and pair of nuts for connection to the MW or SSP brackets.
Quick installation because the roofing must not be removed during installation.
Integrated gasket for better sealing against splashing rain.
Properties
Stud and nuts in stainless steel A2-70 according to EN ISO 3506-1/2:2009.
Application and approval
Applications
Installation of PV panels on roofs with a steel load-bearing structure covered by corrugated panels, faux panels or tiles.
Building materials
Steel beams.
You can find detailed information on building materials in the approval document.
Assembly instruction
Functionality
Determine the length of the STSI double-threaded screw depending on the roof cover thickness.
Determine the centre distance of the STSI double-threaded screws according to the snow and wind loads of the system installation area and inclination of the roof.
Identify the position of the STSI double-threaded screws depending on the load-bearing structure and the layout of the installation.
Drill the support according to the diameter of the screw.
Tighten the STSI double-threaded screw until the gasket is fully in contact with the roof covering.
Fasten the SSP or MW connection plates, adjusting its height using the MU nuts.
Carefully seal the exit point of the screw from the roof with bituminous sealant in order to improve waterproofness.
